The Kensington Gardens Bowling Club has a long and proud history since its formation in 1919. It is located just ten minutes from the city centre situated in the north east corner of the Kensington Gardens Reserve (corner of The Parade and East Terrace, Kensington Gardens) with ample parking available on East Terrace and The Parade.
The club has one of the most attractive sporting settings for lawn bowls in South Australia being set amidst the beautiful open spaces and playing fields of Kensington Gardens Reserve. There are 3 bowling greens and 15 lawn tennis courts all maintained to very high standards with night lighting available across all playing areas.
In addition to the extensive and well maintained playing areas there is also a large club house comprising two bars, a fully functional kitchen and a balcony overlooking the playing areas all of which can be hired for a range of functions with the tennis courts and / or bowling greens included in the hire if required.
Membership spans a wide range of ages and abilities with options for both social and competition membership. There are also social events held throughout the year which includes weekly Friday night happy hours and fortnightly 2 course dinners.
Management of the club is via a Board of Management which is responsible for the management of the overall facility, as well as committees for each of the Bowling and Tennis clubs
