Message From the President
End of Season Celebration
A wonderful crowd of over 90 turned out for the end of season celebration on Friday night. Ken Mason supported by Peter Glazbrook, organised and managed the event brilliantly. Ken’s photos on each table provided visual memories on which to reflect and celebrate the year that was.
Thank you to Jeff Neil from Paradise Mazda for joining us for the evening and assisting to present Club Championship awards to recipients. Paradise Mazda has been a loyal and generous sponsor of the club for more than 30 years
Congratulations to Ryan Wilkins who managed the Club Championships with calm, patience and meticulous attention to detail. I really appreciated Burnside Councillors Jo Harvey, Jane Davey and Mike Daws and Mike’s wife Janet joining us for the evening. We hope to see more of you enjoying other events at the club.
As I always say no event is possible without a willing and dedicated group of volunteers. Thank you to everyone who assisted Ken and Peter from set up to clean up to make the event the success it was.

Officials Accreditation and Re-accreditation
It’s the off season and you are probably wanting to wind down from bowls for a while however the time presents an opportunity to plan for next season. There has been interest from several of you regarding becoming accredited markers, measurers and umpires. I have contacted Bowls SA about running sessions at the club and they would be pleased to do so over three days but not consecutive days. For those who are interested please let me know a few dates and / or days that would suit and I will get back to Bowls SA.
