President's Report
Friday night we saw the first of a new initiative to provide pizzas during our monthly member’s draw and raffle evenings. With 35 pizzas sold, a large crowd enjoyed the opportunity to meet up, bring friends along and enjoy the night. By all accounts the pizzas were a success and provide a low-cost alternative with fewer overheads, particularly during the winter months when foot traffic through the club tends to drop off. A big shout-out to Kevin and Cathy Carney, and Colin and Clerice Tutty, who conducted trials during the week and worked seamlessly in the kitchen to ensure everything ran well on the night!
The evening also allowed me to present the Night Owls Club of the Year award to the club. I spoke about how it is a club award, and how it was due to members getting involved and contributing, each in their own way. How the culture of the club has developed and grown over the years, which enabled the club to now be in the enviable position it finds itself in. The committee is working to ensure the club reaps the benefits an award like this can bring to the club.
With members willing to generously give their time and energy to generate a quality social and community-minded atmosphere at the club, the club is definitely heading in the right direction!
Members Draw
With the larger crowd in attendance on Friday night, it was expected the $400 jackpot would go off. Congratulations to Anne O’Dea whose number came up! The next Members Draw will be 03 Jul with the jackpot now starting again at $100!
New Committee Secretary
I am very pleased to announce Tania Lewis as the new KMBC secretary. Tania will continue her role as the BowlsLink membership coordinator but has stepped down from her position within the Tournament committee.

New Bowls Competition Concept
Kevin Carney has developed a mid-week social bowls concept involving local businesses and is seeking expressions of interest from members willing to assist on a Wednesday night, to determine whether the concept is viable.

BowlsLink Member Accounts
All KMBC members, who are Full / Pennant and Social / Associate members, have an account with SA Bowls Link. BowlsLink member access for SA Bowls allows individuals to manage profiles, enter competitions, and view certifications by logging in at bowlssa.com.au, or via the Bowls Link app. Key actions include using a unique email to sign up and resetting passwords.
We encourage all members to visit their account to ensure their profiles are correct and update accordingly. Correct information including address, email address, mobile number and next-of-kin contact details are all important.
Please visit your account as it is your information, and it is important that it is correct. Please contact the KMBC Secretary directly if you are not receiving club emails. If you need help accessing your Bowls link account, please reach out to us.
