Congratulations to our Bowls SA 2026 Finalists
Congratulations to Peter Glazbrook who was voted as the club’s Volunteer of the year and has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Bowls SA Awards. Alan Lambert has been selected as a finalist for the Official of the year award. Winners will be announced at the Awards Night Dinner on May 29. We wish them all the best.
As you have probably read in the Annual Report by now, the club has been selected as a finalist for Night Owls Club of the year. Fantastic achievement for the club to have finalists in 3 categories. Thank you to everyone who spent time contributing and writing nominations. Your efforts have been rewarded.
Winter Bowls
Winter bowls kicked off on Thursday with a great turnout and plenty of excellent bowling. The weather was perfect. Saturday was a little different with rain limiting the play to one game.
Put your names down on the list in the club rooms or contact the coordinators to avoid disappointment as numbers are already near capacity. The format for both days is 2-4-2 bowl pairs. Single entries are welcome.
Sometimes arrangements change, which means that you are no longer available. Again, please notify coordinators to give enough time to make alterations or find other players.

Kensi Bowling Army
With a few members borrowing arms to practice during winter, I have arranged practice on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month starting at 10am. Any existing or new players wanting to try out are welcome.

Friday Night Dinner
Due to insufficient numbers, the meal on April 24 was canceled. The following dates are scheduled for meals during the off season.

AGM & Members Draw (May 8)
The next draw has been changed from May 1 to May 8, which is the same night as the AGM. If you want a chance to win, come for the AGM and happy hour and stay for the draw. I believe the jackpot is now $300.
Quiz Night (May 30)
Saturday May 30 Quiz Night. Starts at 7pm. Limited to 12 tables of 8. $20 entry includes 5 raffle tickets. To reserve your table contact John Lewis phone 0402 890 616 or email jlewispng@gmail.com.
