2025/26 KMBC Bowls Intention Survey

The committee would appreciate current members completing the first seeking your intention regarding bowling in season 25/26 KMBC including updating records if they have changed.

2025/26 Pennant Bowls Season Review of Coaching and Performance

At the beginning of the 2024/25 Pennant Bowls season, the Bowls Committee formulated a list of requirements and objectives to be actioned with a view to the implementation of a co-ordinated coaching plan for the Club. The plan was discussed with the coaching panel prior to the commencement of season 24/25 and actions agreed.

The performance of the Club in the Pennants Season was overall with some exceptions, poor. Two sides were relegated and another two were close to being relegated. This was not good enough and action to identify the reasons for this situation and to find a way to achieve significant improvements for the 2025/26 Season is needed.

During the season focus and effort was supportive of improvement to individual performance, which is undeniably positive but not enough. A sense of belonging as part of a team, developing rapport among players is significant in creating success.

Thinking of Henry Ford and Albert Einstein. The quote frequently attributed to them "If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got" highlights the importance of changing behaviours and approaches to achieve different outcomes. Therefore, adopting the same course again and expecting a different outcome would not be a reasonable approach to resolving the problem.

The committee seeks honest and detailed feedback from each pennant player to the questions in assisting to find ways to create change. There are 3 questions which can be accessed via the link below. There are 2 sections, Coaching feedback and Bowls Teams Performance feedback.

Security Cameras

A security camera has been installed overlooking A, B and C greens. As the watering of our greens is controlled by remote access, we found it necessary to observe the correct sprinkler function. This will also ensure players are not affected by this maintenance.  Please refer to the board outside the clubhouse for any maintenance programs.

Second Hand Books

Ngarie wishes to thank all those who provided books for her to sell at the club. Keep them coming!
