Message from the President
After this newsletter, we will take a short break before resuming in June. For the latest news, please continue to refer to our website, which is continuously being updated by Oliver.
Annual General Meeting
Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual General Meeting on Friday night. Looking around the room, I counted 60 or so members, another indicator that our club is a robust community.
Despite costs continually rising and many struggling to make ends meet, the end-of-year financial report highlighted an increase in fundraising, which is a credit to all members. Like volunteering, the club would not survive without ongoing efforts to raise much-needed funds.
Committee for 2025/26:
An election was held for general committee members. Congratulations to continuing members and Kevin Carney, who was voted in as the only change to the committee members. The new committee for season 25/26 was elected and congratulated. Our work begins with the first meeting of the committee on Monday night.

Club Renovation:
While waiting for votes to be counted, it left time for Peter Glazbrook to update members on the pending renovation of the Eastern end of the clubrooms. Currently, we are waiting for news of a grant application and, once known, work will begin.
Wine Tasting and Members Draw:
Thank you to Justin Ardill from Reilly’s Wine for hosting a tasting. Reilly’s, as many of you may have noticed, is a relatively new club sponsor. Justin is generously donating 10% to the club of all sales made at the tasting. The members’ draw was won again, this time by Bill Lewis.
Volunteer of the Year
Congratulations to Neville Yeates, who is one of the finalists at the Bowls SA Awards night.
