Vale Anna Catharina Sgargetta
Anna passed away peacefully on April 5. She and her late husband Tony were welcoming faces at the club and friends to many of us. Anna was a much-loved member and wonderful lead bowler, playing in the top Ladies team on Thursday and in the second team in Open Gender on Saturday.
A funeral service celebrating Anna’s life will be held in the Ivan Butler Chapel on Thursday, April 17, beginning at 1pm.
On behalf of the Kensington Marryatville Bowling Club, I offer condolences to Anna’s family and friends.

End of Season Dinner
Last night, 100 people joined in celebrating the achievements of season 24/25. George from Meze Anytime spit roasts provided a delicious Greek-style menu.
Thank you to: Jeff Neale from Paradise Mazda for attending once again to present the Club Championship awards. Thank you to Jo Harvey, our very supportive Burnside Councillor, for presenting the Volunteer of the Year award.
Pat closed the night by thanking everyone who made the evening a success. Thank you to KMBC members who made the season another successful one for the club both on and off the greens.
Now it’s time for a bit of R & R with some social bowls included.
Ladies Indoor Carpet Bowls
Calling all ladies interested in playing indoor carpet bowls. For those who haven’t played this before, this is an enjoyable game, especially during the winter months.
It will not spoil your “big” bowls. Most of the ladies in the Association play both lawn bowls and indoor bowls. You can do both. Pennant games begin on Tuesday 29th April. Tuesday Indoor where it is warm and Thursday outdoors, weather permitting.
Please let me know if you wish to play so I can register your name. If you intend to go on holidays for some of the winter, don’t worry, we will have extra players. The first practice is on Tuesday 22nd April.

Club Renovation Works - Cleanup (May 5)
We’re excited to be kicking off the renovation of the change room and office area at the club very soon! These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to providing a more comfortable, functional, and modern space for our members, staff, and visitors.
The improvements will not only enhance day-to-day operations but also create a more welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. BUT... there are things that need to be done prior to building.
Attention, by May 5, please ensure all personal belongings are removed from the change room and office areas in preparation for upcoming renovations. Items left behind after this date may be disposed of. We appreciate your cooperation!
- Visit our Club Renovation Works page for more information.
