Thursday - all matches were away:
- Premier vs Brighton. Defeated 38 to 68.
- Division 2 vs Toorak Burnside. Won 66 to 62.
- Division 3 vs Beaumont. Defeated 42 to 83.

Christmas Raffle Winner
Pat Lee, our Vice President, presented the winner’s cheque to Dale Lawrence last week. Dale looks a very happy winner.
Mens Country Carnival Update
Thank you to Peter Glazbrook who has been organising the three days of Country Carnival. Thank you also to everyone who has agreed to assist in some way either before during or after the event.
As you will see below, we are welcoming a large group of bowlers from SA country regions during the three days which is great exposure for our club.
- Monday, February 3rd fours sectionals 92 bowlers
- Tuesday, February 4th singles 24 bowlers
- Wednesday, February 5th pairs 48 bowlers
Kitchen roster has been prepared by Katie and Liz. Please check the roster as it has been posted on the tournament board. Bar roster like wise to check prepared by Ken Mason.
Marker roster is on the board. Please check and tick availability and take a copy of Do’s and Don’ts. Any questions relating to marking please direct, to Alan Lambert. Markers, please arrive by 9am on the Tuesday in club uniform. Make sure you have a pen and measure. Spray chalk will be provided if all goes well. Umpire/Measurer Alan Lambert. If any measurers are available to assist, please contact Alan. Bowlslink entry Ken Watson and Tania Lewis to share. Duty rink helpers would be appreciated.

Greens Availability During Carnival
- Monday A and B greens are in use. C green closed
- Tuesday A and C green are in use. B green is available for practice
- Wednesday as for Tuesday
NOTE there are no pennant bowls on Wednesday Feb 5th

Greens Maintenance - Line Marking
There will be a demonstration of line marking on Tuesday Jan 28th between 12noon and 5pm. A and B green will be closed.
Several members have received invitations to attend based on the Intention survey conducted at the beginning of the season. Other members are invited to attend to observe this important role. Seating is not a problem there will be standing room only.

Club Championships
Another championship game saw Doug Young and his daughter Anne O'Dea compete in a Handicap Singles Championship event on Saturday. Doug's daughter Suzie was a marker and wife Joan was the drinks girl. Anne won the hard fought game 21 to 19.

2024/25 Volunteer of the Year
Dear club members, the time has come to start thinking about and nominating who you think is worthy of being recognised as the 2024/25 KMBC Volunteer of the Year. The nominees will be reviewed by a special select committee, with the finalists being recognised and the winner announced at the End of Season club dinner and Presentation night.

Friday Happy Hour
Happy Hour at the Club is on again this Friday at 5.30pm. Come along and bring your friends and some food to share if you can. We look forward to your company.

Bowls for Blue (Feb 3-8)
In conjunction with Bowls Australia, our Club is supporting research into prostate cancer and will therefore be fundraising 3 February 2025 to 8 February 2025. Collection tins will be available, and we ask that you give generously.
Combined Happy Hour with Tennis Members (Feb 14)
The tennis section of the Club are keen to join us again for Happy Hour and have therefore been invited on Friday 14 February. Please come along, contribute something to eat and enjoy social interaction with members of the Club you would normally engage with.
“Day in the Garden” Open Tournament (March 17)
Make sure you get your teams organised for our "Day in the Garden" Tournament to be held on Monday 17 March 2025 9.30am for 10.00am start. Game format: Open Gender - 3 bowl triples.

The End of Season Dinner has been scheduled for Saturday 12 April 2025 at 6.30pm. Details such as menu, cost and booking arrangements are to be advised.
Annual General Meeting (May 9)
The AGM will be held at the Club on Friday 9 May 2025 at 5.30pm. If you have any interest in joining the Committee, please contact one of the current committee members.
