Message from the President
We are getting closer to the end of the first half of the season, and I’m sure like me, you are looking forward to a couple of weeks R&R before we come back in early January to do it all again. So far, the season has presented a mixed bag for the club with many positives emerging and much learning.
Our new bowlers have settled in well and taking to the greens with great enthusiasm and willingness to learn to reach their personal best. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Christmas Dinner on Friday night.
We appreciate that our club, like many others, would not survive without the goodwill of volunteers. To this end, the committee continues to seek volunteers for greens maintenance and tournament director. These positions could well be shared. The other position that is seeking a replacement is Pennant Bowls Chair of Selectors to replace Cecily Griffiths who resigned earlier in the season.
I ask members to consider talking to members of the committee, Brian Dew, Ulli Kruse, Mike Lynch or David Freeman to find out exactly what is involved.

Ladies Pennants Shared Lunch (Dec 12)
As it is our last game for 2024, we would like our ladies to bring a plate of food to share for lunch after the game. We suggest mainly savoury food such as sandwiches, sausage rolls, curried eggs or whatever is easy for you. A bit of fruit always welcome and some of us have a sweet tooth also.
Greens Closure (A)
A Green will be fully closed after the last pennant game from 18 December 2024 and reopen on 06 January 2025. We want to ensure even wear on both greens. If you have booked a club championship game on A green for this period, please transfer your booking to B green. C Green will be closed for the same period for maintenance.
Happy Hour
There is Happy Hour at the Club this Friday at 5.30pm. You are encouraged to support the Club by coming along, bringing your friends and neighbors to enjoy this social occasion. If you can, please bring some food to share. Looking forward to seeing you.
