Seeking Volunteers
Members who have volunteered in significant roles at the club for several years are steadily bowing out, so the committee is seeking replacements for not only Greens Management but Tournament Director. Please talk to Ulli, Mike or Brian about what is involved in each of the roles.
Greens Management
So far, the team has not been flooded with interest from apprentices. They are looking for willing volunteers to take over the various roles involved. They are ready to train newcomers during the second half of the season as they begin to wind down.
We look forward to seeing expressions of interest being sent to Philippa Malone by December 12. Importantly, Ulli and Mike have no intention of leaving the club and will be available to support and mentor new green team members in these roles.
Tournament Director
Brian Dew has filled the roll admirably for 5 years and is keen for a replacement to be in place for the Tournament Committee meeting in January where preparation for A Day in the Gardens in March will be a focal point.
Brian is willing to assist with all the necessary work up until this event, hopefully working together with his replacement. This would mean an organised transfer of all activities and computer records could take place
